About us...

HR Impact is a Human Resources consulting firm that specializes in creating customized, practical & innovative workplace solutions.

Our President

Fiorella Callocchia, President of HR Impact, has over 29 years experience in the HR consulting & training field.  An Honours Graduate of the University of Toronto, she also holds the Human Resources Management Designation in addition to being a Certified Facilitator on various leading edge leadership / team development and quality service programs.

She is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) with the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), and was awarded the prestigious Ross Hennigar Award from HRPAO for outstanding contribution to the profession. 

Fiorella’s experience also includes teaching Human Resources Management courses for the CHRP designation at HRPA and the University of Guelph.  She also volunteered on a variety of professional and non-profit committees in the area of Human Resources.

She is a well-known conference and key note speaker whose clients include The Canadian Management Centre, The Toronto Board of Trade, HRPA, HRPAH, The Conference Board of Canada, Richard Ivey School of Business, Institute of International Research as well as various local and national Associations. 

Fiorella’s approaches and techniques have been featured on CTV, Investment Television and Toronto Board of Trade Television.  She has been featured in Canadian Business Magazine and has written articles for a number of publications including The Canadian HR Reporter, Human Resources Professional Magazine, The Office Professional, CACEE, The Toronto Business Times and Royal Bank’s World Wide “Interest" Magazine.

Fiorella is the Author of Canada’s first HR Audit tool and an Editor for Carswell’s HR Best Practices Series.

Past-President of the Human Resources Professional Association of Halton (2003-2005), she is an accredited member of the Toronto Board of Trade, Mississauga Board of Trade and Oakville Chamber of Commerce.

·         Recognized and promoted by The Toronto Board of Trade to their 10,000 members as Toronto’s leading Human Resources expert.

·         Played a key role in the merger of Canada’s largest, independent real estate consulting firm.  Created the organizations first Human Resources infrastructure and related systems, ensuring compliance with related employment legislation and consistency across all Provinces.

·        Conducted a comprehensive HR Audit of the organization’s HR-related policies, processes and related systems in an effort to be proactive, understand opportunities for continuous improvement and ensure compliance with the employment-related legislation.

·         Designed and facilitated National Customer Service Initiative to over 1700 employees at one of Canada’s largest property management organizations.  Customized into 7 Modules, the workshop content and delivery was practical, hands on and fun.

·       Customized and facilitated Leadership Workshop Series which included the following topics; Being an Effective Leader, Recruiting Quality Talent, Building Effective Teams, Managing Performance, Creating a Positive Workplace and Leading Change.  The program included practical and innovative solutions to help leaders effectively manage the people side of their business.

·         Created Performance Review/Management Program including detailed policies and processes, templates, checklists and related training to ensure our workforce was aligned to effectively deliver on the business strategy and key performance targets.

·         Innovated a one-stop Recruitment Toolkit giving Managers and the HR Team a simple, easy-to-use package for hiring and orienting key talent.  The toolkit included a detailed step-by-step policy, detailing roles and responsibilities, as well as the related forms, templates and checklists to ensure all recruitment initiatives are conducted effectively, efficiently and in compliance with related employment legislation.

·        Customized and facilitated a phased Conflict Management Program to assist employees with building harmonious relationships with clients both internal and external to the organization.

·         Designed and developed a “Successfully Marketing Yourself," an extensive internal mobility program that encourages employees to take an active role in their career and provide them with the tools to build their employability within the organization.

·         Led team retreats to develop effective team leadership skills and build cohesion among peers.

·       Conceptualized and delivered a highly successful three-part workshop entitled, "The HR Challenge of Fast Growth Companies" that focused on recruitment, retention of key talent and performance management.

·         Played a leading role on the Compensation Committee of The Toronto Board of Trade which resulted in the launch of an innovative new product called “Best Practices and Trends”.

·         Designed and developed HR manuals, handbooks and policies which are practical and easy to use tools for managers to facilitate the fair and equitable treatment of employees.

·         Innovated an HR Hotline (HR COACH) to provide telephone/web-based, real-time solutions to HR issues for clients without an HR Manager / Professional on site.

·         Performed as “Director, HR” on an outsourced basis for companies in all sectors of business including not for profit, manufacturing, high tech and financial services.

·         Acted as Project Manager and lead Consultant for a performance management / competency launch for a world class government institution.

·         Acted as an Executive Coach to enhance leadership capability and competence for a number of senior managers within all sectors of business, private, public and not-for-profit.

·        Created position profiles for all levels of employees and managers, which were used to evaluate positions, create salary bands and the performance management systems.
